Mr. Otis "Blacky" Thomas, age 93, of Mayfield passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at his residence.
He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a retired painter.
Mr. Thomas is survived by one step-son, Larry Joe (Jean) Thompson of Mayfield, KY; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Crittendon of Wingo, KY; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Pauline Johnson Thomas; one step-son, Ronald Dale Thompson; six brothers, Aubrey Thomas, Oscar Thomas, Robert Thomas, Rubel Thomas, Lloyd Thomas and Vernon Thomas; two sisters, Mildred Owens and Eloise Dick; and his parents, Herbert and Maude Estella Thorpe Thomas.
Funeral services for Mr. Otis "Blacky" Thomas will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Chris Kemp will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tim Thompson, Joey Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Gary Ellegood, Chris Shoulta and Cory Ellegood.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the funeral home.
